SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- Arizona Diamondbacks starter Chase Anderson had his no-hit bid broken up in the seventh inning when San Francisco Giants slugger Buster Posey grounded a one-out single off the pitcher - literally.
Posey smacked a sharp infield single that struck Anderson's lower right leg and rolled toward the third-base line, leaving the Diamondbacks with no play. Anderson was initially shaken up but remained in the game.
The Giants hit several balls hard in the early innings, and Nori Aoki lined into a double play to end the third.
