Another Dodgers pitcher goes down as Bolsinger is scratched from Sunday's start

MARYVALE, Ariz. – The Dodgers’ starting rotation has become like wearing a cheap pair of prescription glasses. Things keep getting fuzzy.

Sunday started with the news that Brandon Beachy would be shut down for a few days because of tendinitis in his right elbow – the same elbow on which he has twice had Tommy John surgery.

That – along with his less-than-compelling performances this spring – seemed to take him out of the running for the fifth starter spot, at least to start the season. With longshot candidate Zach Lee also optioned to the minor-league camp Sunday, Mike Bolsinger was essentially solidified as the heavy favorite to open the season as the Dodgers’ fifth starter.
