ARLINGTON, Texas >> Tyler Skaggs, who was scratched from his scheduled Triple-A start Monday because of fatigue, now has shoulder tightness. The Angels have shut him down and will bring him to Southern California for further evaluation.
Skaggs will be checked, and likely will undergo an MRI, on Monday.
“Anytime guys take a timeout, you are always aware and your antenna goes up,” General Manager Billy Eppler said Friday night.
Skaggs, who is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, has started three times for Triple-A Salt Lake City. He was scratched from one start because of fatigue, although Skaggs said he felt fine and expected to make his next start.
