GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Dodgers are spending an awful lot of time this spring with their fingers crossed, awaiting the results of medical exams.
The anxiety Monday centered on outfielder Andre Ethier who went for a bone scan on his right shin.
Ethier fouled a ball off his right shin during Friday’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. X-rays at the time showed no fracture. But three days later, he was still using crutches to get around and was still experiencing significant pain in his leg.
“He’s just not feeling well. It’s not responding,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said.
