LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers try for a third consecutive home sweep of the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium, with their own Arizona product healthy and productive again this season.
Andre Ethier is starting for the 43rd time in 60 games this season, a number that would have lost a lot of bets in March, or even April.
Ethier has earned the playing time by seizing his opportunity. He's hitting .286/.370/.509, his highest on-base and slugging percentages since 2008. With eight home runs already this season, Ethier doubled his total from 2014, in 380 plate appearances (he has 184 PA this year).
