PHOENIX -- Dodgers pitcher Brett Anderson went for tests on his lower back on Wednesday, and his status is uncertain for Friday's scheduled start.
Anderson felt a "tweak" at the end of throwing live batting practice on Tuesday, and by Wednesday, it had gotten worse. The club is concerned in part because he had lower back surgery in 2014.
Anderson thought he had fought off an injury-prone label last year when he went 10-9 with a 3.69 ERA over 180 1/3 innings, the most of his seven-year career.
After losing Zack Greinke, the Dodgers came into this camp counting on Anderson to be the fourth starter behind Clayton Kershaw, Scott Kazmir and Kenta Maeda.
