The Los Angeles Dodgers lost Justin Turner to the disabled list on Friday afternoon and saw Yasiel Puig removed early, but behind a strong showing from Alex Wood and sufficient offense, beat the Miami Marlins. There was also a scrum between the two teams, which led to three ejections.
Wood carried a shut out into the eighth inning, scattering six hits and striking out four. He was aided by the Dodgers turning three double plays behind him.
Los Angeles once again jumped to an early lead, loading the bases with one out in the bottom of the first.
