SAN BERNARDINO – Alex Guerrero is 60 miles from Dodger Stadium, but it might as well be 600. Or 6,000.
Monday was his final day in uniform for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, the Dodgers’ Class-A affiliate. Guerrero’s rehabilitation assignment will transfer to Double-A Tulsa starting Tuesday, where he’ll be for a week, followed by a week at Triple-A Oklahoma City. That’s the plan at least.
For Guerrero, sticking to the plan this season hasn’t always been easy.
“I think at the beginning they said one week,” Guerrero said through an interpreter Sunday. “But after the second MRI, they found a lot of inflammation in the knee.
