LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers third baseman Alex Guerrero will start a minor league rehab assignment with Class-A Rancho Cucamonga on Tuesday night, recovering from injuries to his left knee and left groin suffered in spring training.
Guerrero will bat cleanup and play third base for the Quakes on Tuesday in a 7:05 p.m. PT game against Lancaster.
It remains to be seen what the Dodgers will do with Guerrero once he is deemed healthy enough to return. He can't be sent to the minors without his consent, but it doesn't seem like Guerrero has much of a place on this roster.
