Former Dodgers RHP Jordan Yamamoto has officially announced his retirement from the game of baseball on Twitter. The 26-year-old was with the Dodgers during spring training, but was a part of their first-round of cuts last week. Now, a week later, he’s formally announced his retirement from the MLB.
In his message, he had a lot of ‘thank you’s’ for the people that helped him get here. He didn’t announce a reason for the retirement, but said that he has no regret about the decision, although it is bittersweet.
Yamamoto has spent parts of three seasons in the Major Leagues with the Miami Marlins and New York Mets.
