CINCINNATI -- Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez left Thursday's game against the Reds in the fifth inning with a right knee bruise suffered two innings earlier when he fouled a pitch off his leg. He is day to day, according to the club.
Gonzalez struck out in that at-bat and played two more innings, but Scott Van Slyke took over at first base in the bottom of the fifth.
Gonzalez, playing in his 123rd of 126 Dodgers games this year, leads the club with 24 homers and 74 RBIs.
