RANCHO CUCAMONGA -- Jose De Leon did make a lot of pitches in his 5u2154 IP but he was effective enough to help the Quakes win their seventh straight as they beat the Storm (Padres) 4-3.
De Leon had baserunners on in every inning as he retired the side in order just once. De Leon threw his fastball in 91-93 MPH range and was able to get swings and misses on his offspeed pitches that were around 81-82 MPH. All of his strikeouts were swinging but he did get his offspeed over for called strikes too.
