The first 2021 MLB All-Star Game voting update was released Monday, with the Los Angeles Dodgers on pace to only be represented thus far by Max Muncy leading all National League first baseman with 405,609 votes.
Muncy, who currently is on the 10-day injured list due to a right oblique strain, was recently touted by Dodgers manager Dave Roberts as performing to the level of being one of the top players in baseball this season. Roberts more recently deemed Muncy one of the Dodgers’ MVPs as well, along with Chris Taylor.
Gavin Lux is the third-leading vote-getter among NL second basemen, with the Atlanta Braves’ Ozzie Albies at the top and Adam Frazier of the Pittsburgh Pirates in second place.
