After the Los Angles Dodgers took a 3-2 lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series, manager Dave Roberts announced Tony Gonsolin will start Game 6 on Tuesday. He will be opposed by Rays ace Blake Snell, thus amounting to a rematch of Game 2.
Gonsolin wasn’t overly sharp in the loss last week he allowed a home run and issued a walk in just 1.1 innings. The outing came on two days’ rest, as Gonsolin had entered out of the bullpen during Game 7 of the National League Championship Series the weekend prior.
Tuesday’s start will be Gonsolin’s third of the postseason and fourth overall game.
