The Los Angeles Dodgers couldn’t get the bats going and suffered their first loss of the 2020 postseason at the hands of the Atlanta Braves, dropping Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, 5-1.
The Dodgers’ only source of offense Monday night was a solo home run by Kiké Hernandez to lead off the bottom of the fifth. The blast allowed L.A. to even up the score following Freddie Freeman’s solo shot in the first inning.
The score remained locked at 1-1 entering the ninth inning, but the Braves ultimately rallied for four runs against the Dodgers bullpen to secure the victory.
