As the world continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the National Baseball Hall of Fame announced that its induction weekend, scheduled for July 24-27, has been cancelled.
Among those that would have been honored include Derek Jeter and Larry Walker, who were each elected as part of the 2020 class in January. They joined Marvin Miller and Ted Simmons, who were previously voted in by the Today’s Game Era ballot this past December.
The quartet will now be recognized on Sunday, July 25, 2021, in Cooperstown, along with any new members that are elected as part of the 2021 class.
