Bellinger's first month to the season has been otherworldly. Through 29 games so far Cody is leading the league in Runs (30), Hits (44), Home Runs (14), RBI's (36), Batting Average (.427), OBP (.500), OPS (.913), WAR (3.3), Sacrafice Fly's (3) and Total Bases (94). And as you can imagine, he's breaking records left and right. Last night he recorded his 44th hit of the season to break a Dodgers franchise record for hits before May 1st, but it is his efforts from Friday that is the subject of this post.
Against Chris Archer of the Pirates he rocketed a first inning two-run homer to eclipse Chase Utley's record for Total Bases (85) before May 1st.
