The Dodgers drafted right-handed pitcher Ryan Pepiot out of Butler in the third round of Tuesday’s MLB Draft.
According to MLB Pipeline, he’s the No. 72 overall prospect, and our David Hood had him at No. 99. The Dodgers got great value, drafting him with the No. 102 overall pick.
Pepiot started 14 games this year for the Bulldogs, going 4-4 with a 3.92 ERA. He threw 78 innings, including one complete game. He struck out 126 and walked only 44. On the season, opponents hit .203 off him.
