The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Colorado Rockies in Game 163 to clinch a sixth consecutive National League West title and set a matchup with the Atlanta Braves in the NL Division Series. It marks a third time in franchise history the Dodgers will face the Braves in the NLDS.
Just as when the clubs met in the 2013 postseason, the Dodgers again have home-field advantage. Games 1 and 2 will be played at Dodger Stadium on Thursday and Friday, respectively. If necessary, the NLDS would return to Chavez Ravine for Game 5 on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
The Braves had long clinched the NL East, but were awaiting results of games to determine champions in the NL West and NL Central, and therefore seeding.
