Yimi Garcia spent 2018 going back-and-forth between Oklahoma City and Los Angeles, as well as recovering from a right forearm inflammation injury.
Garcia had a great start to the season. He had three consecutive scoreless outings, with two strikeouts and zero walks. On top of that, he contributed to the Dodgers’ first ever combined no-hitter versus the Padres on May 4 in Mexico.
The rest of the season was a struggle for Garcia. In 25 games with LA, the 28-year-old had an ERA of 5.64. Things weren’t any easier in Oklahoma City, where he had a 4.
