After being acquired by the Dodgers in February, JT Chargois showed signs of being an effective reliever. Slowed by mechanical issues and injury, he didn’t play a factor in the postseason.
Outside of a shaky stretch in May that saw him give up seven runs over 3 2⁄3 innings in five appearances, Chargois did well to prevent runs when he was summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander limited opponents to a .155 average and had a 1.57 ERA in the other 34 games he pitched in.
Overall, Chargois struck out 40 batters in 32 1⁄3 innings, displaying a mid-90s fastball to go with a good slider at times.
