After missing the final three months of 2016 with a broken back, Trayce Thompson in 2017 was never able to match his early production from last season.

In May and June combined, Thompson hit .251/.310/.461 with eight home runs, eight doubles and four triples in 52 games between Triple-A Oklahoma City and the Dodgers.

Thompson was recalled to the majors three times in 2017 and appeared in 27 games with the Dodgers, including eight starts in center field, three starts in left field and once in right.

Thompson switched uniform numbers from 21 to open the year and 47 to end it, after Yu Darvish was acquired.
