What went right

The Dodgers acquired Chavez and $1.15 million from the Blue Jays on Aug. 1 in exchange for pitcher Mike Bolsinger.

Chavez held right-handed batters to .258/.300/.394 during his time with the Dodgers, in 70 plate appearances.

Chavez was one of 12 different pitchers to make at least 20 relief appearances in 2016.

In his final 21 appearances of the season, Chavez posted a 2.70 ERA with 19 strikeouts and five walks in 23u2153 innings.
