2016 Dodgers review: Brandon Beachy

Brandon Beachy’s second season with the Dodgers was wiped away by injuries, an increasingly common occurrence for the right-hander.

What went right

After he made the long journey back from his second Tommy John surgery and made a pair of major league starts with the Dodgers in 2015, Beachy was signed to a one-year contract in January to return for 2016.

The veteran Beachy was in the final running for the Dodgers’ fifth starter spot, but he was sidelined with elbow problems in late spring that knocked him out of the competition.

Beachy and Scott Van Slyke won the annual Dodgers doubles ping pong tournament during spring training.
