In his 10th professional season, the hard-throwing Josh Ravin finally made his major league debut in 2015, and did so with his hometown Dodgers.
What went right
Ravin, a Chatsworth High School grad who lives in Tarzana, got his first call to the majors at midseason, moved to tears upon donning a Dodgers uniform for the first time in a major league game, in June.
The right-hander averaged 97.74 mph on his four-seam fastball per Brooks Baseball, and among the 735 pitchers to throw a pitch in 2015 Ravin ranked 15th in average fastball velocity per FanGraphs.
