With the NLDS finally underway, the Dodgers and manager Dave Roberts entered Saturday night’s game with a sense of confidence in the 26-man roster and in the pitching plan for the series. For the most part, that plan for the pitching staff is already laid out, barring anything unforeseen.
Of course, Clayton Kershaw started game 1 tonight in LA and Bobby Miller will get the ball for game 2 on Monday. Behind either of them, rookie starters Emmet Sheehan and Michael Grove will be available out of the bullpen, but Roberts did announce that two guys would be unavailable for the first two games of the series.
