The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed on a deal in principle that will net them veteran Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley via trade, per Jon Heyman of CBS Sports:
while deal hasn't been signed yet, sides have agreed on deal of utley plus 2M to LA for 2 minor leaguers.

MLB.com first reported on Wednesday that the two teams were "moving closer" to a trade. Utley, 36, was not listed in the Phillies lineup for Wednesday night's game against the Toronto Blue Jays at Citizens Bank Park.
Now with a trade to Los Angeles in place, Utley will join longtime teammate and double-play partner Jimmy Rollins while regular starting second baseman Howie Kendrick continues to nurse a strained left hamstring.
Utley has played in just 73 games due to injury this season. Despite a hot streak as of late, he is hitting just .217 with 5 home runs and 30 RBI in 249 at-bats.
