Former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Yu Darvish has been arguably the most sought-after free agent on the open market this winter, yet he is expected to sign with a team in the coming days, according to Jon Morosi of the MLB Network.

The Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Minnesota Twins, and Texas Rangers are also all in the mix for Darvish's services, along with the Dodgers. The New York Yankees were also interested in him before pulling out a few days ago.
Other reports this week indicated that Darvish was in negotiations with the Cubs, a sign that they're the favorite to land him. With Jake Arrieta testing free agency - and a reunion unlikely - they have made Darvish a top priority, who they believe can be a cheaper option to Arrieta.
Darvish is 31 years old and coming off a season where he had a 3.86 ERA over 186.2 innings pitched with 209 strikeouts and 58 walks with both the Rangers and Dodgers.
