The Los Angeles Dodgers announced they have placed star pitcher Yu Darvish on the 10-day disabled list. Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports that Darvish is experiencing lower back tightness.

He left his start on Wednesday with back trouble and Los Angeles clearly does not want to take any chances with their prized trade deadline acquisition. They have virtually already clinched a playoff spot with a 19-game lead in the NL West.
Ace Clayton Kershaw is also dealing with a back injury, and the Dodgers have been cautious with his recovery as well.
Darvish has started three games since being traded to the Dodgers, allowing five runs while striking out 22 and walking four in 18 innings of work.
