While the Los Angeles Dodgers are preparing for the start of the postseason run, bench coach Bob Geren also has one eye on his future.
According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, Geren is on the shortlist of candidates the New York Mets will consider to replace Terry Collins as manager.

Geren does have managerial experience in the past, going 334-376 as in four and a half season with the Oakland A's. However, he never finished a season with a record above .500.
After being fired in Oakland, he joined Collins' staff as bench coach before joining the Dodgers in Dec. 2015. That knowledge of New York's roster and the organization is certainly viewed as a positive for him.
