Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig is finishing up a stint on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring and he could see game action in the minor leagues as soon as Monday, per manager Don Mattingly.
“I know they’re talking about his progression and getting out and playing some games soon,” Mattingly said, via the Los Angeles Times.
Puig is eligible to activated on May 11th which coincides with the Dodgers' final game of a three-game series in Colorado. Mattingly believes Puig will be activated shortly thereafter.
“Right now, it seems like we’re on track,” Mattingly said.
Puig will not travel with the team to Milwaukee for the team's four-game series with the Brewers. During that time, he very well could be in the midst of a rehab stint for the team's Class-A affiliate in Rancho Cucamonga. They host Visalia for a four-game series starting on Monday.
