The Los Angeles Dodgers have engaged in trade talks with the Baltimore Orioles centered on Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier, MASN's Roch Kubatko reported earlier in the week.
Per Kubatko, "earlier this winter, the Orioles checked on Matt Kemp but decided against pursuing him due to his contract and health issues, and the Dodgers' insistence on getting Kevin Gausman or Dylan Bundy."

In addition, Kubatko adds that Kemp's arthritic hips would have made him a no-go for the Orioles when it came to his physical.
A Dodgers/Orioles deal involving Ethier might not be very feasible due to the $56 million guaranteed to the veteran outfielder over the next three years, along with a $2.5 million buyout on his 2018 club option.
The normally thrifty Orioles usually like to get their veteran upgrades on bargain deals, as evidenced by the one-year, $8 million deal they gave Nelson Cruz before the start of last season.
