Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen missed the first six weeks of the season after foot surgery this spring. He hasn't missed a beat since his return, however, and says he's feeling really confident about the way things are going right.
“I think I’m there,” he said, via the Los Angeles Times. “I’m feeling really good throwing the ball. Everything feels great, been locating really well and doing the job. So good, so far.”
Jansen has yet to allow a run this season in his seven innings of work, striking out 12 along the way. After shutting down the St. Louis Cardinals for a save in Saturday's 2-0 win, Jansen distilled his current on-field philosophy down to its core.
“I’ve been feeling good so I just go do what I’m supposed to do and help the team win,” he said.
