The Clippers Have Waived Sindarius Thornwell

After waiving Ty Wallace late Friday night, the Clippers waived guard/forward Sindarius Thornwell yesterday. The news was first broken by JD Shaw of Hoops Rumors, and was listed on NBA.com’s transactions page. Sindarius averaged 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per game across 137 games as a Clipper over the past two seasons.

Thornwell was selected 48th by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2017 NBA Draft, but his draft rights were bought by the Clippers (so they in effect drafted him). He played a significant role in the Clippers 2017-2018 season, appearing in 73 games as a rookie and getting solid minutes on most nights due to his energy and defense.
