Stephenson Joins Starters In Win Vs. Warriors

LOS ANGELES – This is the time for Doc Rivers to mix and match.

He doesn’t particularly care who starts. He doesn’t care if he switches up the bench rotations. It’s the preseason, and he wants to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

Tuesday’s slight tweak turned out to be the former for the Clippers (2-3) in a 130-95 win against the Warriors (2-3). Rivers said during training camp he wanted to use Lance Stephenson exclusively with the reserves, but he liked what the versatile forward brought from a defensive standpoint with his ability to guard the one through three spots.
