The LA Clippers went to 12-1 on the season in the second night of back-to-backs, after yet another shorthanded group found a victory, 117-105 over the Memphis Grizzlies Wednesday at Staples Center.
Luke Kennard posted a season-high 28 points for the Clippers, as a nine-man rotation that included two players on 10-day contracts battled the entire game and pulled ahead late to take victory against the playoff-aspiring Grizzlies.
The number of Clippers on the shelf kept growing ahead of this game, with Paul George, Reggie Jackson and Rajon Rondo getting a night off, so Ty Lue went with yet another new-look starting five for the night, with Amir Coffey getting his first start of the season, joining Kennard, Terance Mann, Marcus Morris Sr.
