Veteran forward Patrick Patterson appears to be ready to go for an NBA title with the LA Clippers once more, as he’s reportedly set to sign a one-year deal, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday.
Patterson, 31, joined the Clippers ahead of the 2019-20 season, and the power forward played in 59 games, mostly off the bench, averaging 4.9 points per game and 2.6 rebounds in 13.2 minutes a night.
Patterson was mostly an insurance policy for the Clippers in his first season, and a player to provide some veteran knowhow, but perhaps under new head coach Tyronn Lue he’ll see an expanded role.
