Report: Clippers waive forward Jordan Hamilton

In what could be a transaction that predates an upcoming one, the Clippers announce via press release that they have waived small forward and former first-round pick Jordan Hamilton.

Hamilton, signed mid-season on consecutive 10-day contracts after spending time in the NBA D-League followed by an agreement on a two-year deal with the second season non-guaranteed, played in 14 games with the Clippers. In those 14 games (2 starts), Hamilton averaged 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, Hamilton was unable to break into the rotation, as Doc Rivers relied on veteran forward Hedo Turkoglu — and sometimes Dahntay Jones — to backup Matt Barnes; Hamilton played zero minutes in the playoffs.
