Ever since Doc Rivers arrived in Los Angeles, the team has employed a fairly aggressive strategy when attacking pick-and-rolls defensively. For instance, they always liked to blitz the ball-handler with a big man because it forced the ball-handler into a tough decision; he either had to pass the ball through a bevy of flailing arms or he had to try and beat two people at once. It’s one of the things that led to the Los Angeles Clippers having one of the most successful pick-and-roll defenses in the league when it came to ball-handlers and efficiency.
