CARSON, Calif. – Already No. 11 all-time in assists in NBA history just 11 seasons into his illustrious career, Chris Paul’s first trip to the Hall of Fame last weekend likely won’t be his last.
But it was an emotional experience nonetheless for the Clippers’ point guard, who was in attendance to receive the Mannie Jackson Award for his humanitarian and charitable efforts. That also gave him the chance to see one of his idols, Allen Iverson, get enshrined into the Hall of Fame as part of this year’s class.
“That trip to Springfield was something I’ll never forget,” Paul said this week while helping open a refurbished Boys & Girls Club in Carson.
