On July 11, 2012, the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Clippers made a trade. The deal landed the Nets forward Reggie Evans via a sign-and-trade, while the Clippers received the ability to swap second round picks in 2016.
“Reggie Evans is one of the most tenacious rebounders in the league,” former GM Billy King said at that time. “He is a proven NBA veteran and will be an important addition to our front court rotation.”
The trade did include a provision that the Clippers could only swap picks if their 2016 selection landed 31-55.
