On Friday night, the LA Clippers took down the Phoenix Suns 121-111. Lou Williams and Danilo Gallinari led the way with 21 points apiece, but they weren’t the story of the night.
That honor belongs to two-way player Angel Delgado, who grabbed a G-League record 31 rebounds in a 112-94 victory for the Agua Caliente Clippers, breaking the former record of 29. He tacked on 22 points too, just for good measure.
Delgado, 24, went undrafted this summer after playing four impressive seasons of college ball at Seton Hall University. The LA Clippers signed him shortly after the draft came to a close, and his contract was soon converted to a two-way deal, so he’d be able to spend time with the G-League Clippers and the ones in Los Angeles.
