It’s strange to say that someone is having a “revival” when they’ve only been in the NBA since 2010. It’s even more strange that the player in question isn’t having a career year. Yet just seven games into the season, I can tell that something looks different about Wesley Johnson.
He isn’t tentative anymore. He knows who he is, what he’s good at, what he’s not. And it’s hard to say without knowing for sure, but it certainly seems like he’s worked an awful lot on his offensive game.
Weirdly enough, his numbers don’t show his improvements.
