After a foot fracture sidelined him for nearly two months, LA Clippers guard Norman Powell will return to play against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night, coach Ty Lue told reporters before the game.
Powell, who was upgraded to questionable for the home game Wednesday afternoon, will come off the bench and could start in the second half, Lue said. Powell was cleared to practice with the team on Tuesday.
His return is significant for the Clippers, who are preparing for the start of the Western Conference playoffs. The Clippers are 39-40 and locked securely in the eighth spot for the play-in tournament that is scheduled April 12-15.
