According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, the LA Clippers will face competition for his signature from potential Western Conference rivals Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the Timberwolves are expected to sign former Clipper Jamal Crawford on a two-year deal which would pave the way for the Clippers to sign Allen.
Allen is a veteran shooting guard who has been with the Memphis Grizzlies for the last seven years. He averaged 9.1 points, 1.4 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.62 steals per game last season, appearing 71 times. The 35-year old has proved to be a solid role player for Memphis over the years.
