The Clippers played a really weird game Monday night against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers. They took a 15-point lead six minutes in, then fell behind by five with 3 1/2 minutes left in the second quarter.
Then, down the stretch, they watched as DeAndre Jordan was hacked time and again until he had shot 18 free throws in the fourth quarter, 34 in the game.
But the Clippers won, defeating the Trail Blazers 102-87 before a sellout crowd of 19,060 at Staples Center.
It was the third consecutive victory for the Clippers (10-8) and their fourth in five games.
