On a night when the LA Clippers were without several key rotation pieces, their stars stepped up in a major way.
Kawhi Leonard and Paul George each played their best game of the season, combining for 88 of the Clippers’ 124 points — 76 of which were logged by the end of the third quarter.
Leonard went for 42 points, 11 rebounds and two assists on 10-of-24 shooting from the field and a career-high 19-of-19 from the free-throw line, while George recorded 46 points, five rebounds, seven assists and two steals on 17-of-31 shooting, including 6-of-15 from three-point range.
