Jawun Evans Stood Out in the Clippers’ Last Preseason Game Against the Lakers

Jawun Evans had himself a game on Friday night, scoring 22 points on 8-17 shooting as well as dishing out 8 assists. He played almost the entire contest (42 minutes), giving the Clippers’ coaching staff an extended look at his skills against NBA competition. The Lakers played their regular roster (albeit for limited minutes) minus Lonzo Ball, and Evans looked fantastic against real NBA players.

Coming out of Oklahoma State, Evans had a reputation as a complete point guard who could score as well as make plays for others. That was in effect Friday, as Jawun demonstrated his abilities to pass, score around the basket, and shoot.
