There’s really only one All-Star Game in professional sports that truly rises to the occasion, between players wanting to be involved, the game actually being good, and no pity selections to include all the teams like in baseball.
Of course, this particular NBA All-Star Game is different from the rest, with players supposed to be staying in their hotel rooms all weekend, absolutely no parties supposed to be going down in Atlanta (even the mayor weighed in on that), and the usual full weekend of events condensed and now happening all on Sunday.
All-Star Sunday will start with the skills challenge and 3-point shootout before the game itself, and the dunk contest will take place at halftime.
