Before Lob City was born, it was widely believed that the mid-to-late 2000’s was the best era of Clipper basketball to date. In 2006, they won their first playoff series since the move from Buffalo. LA defeated the Denver Nuggets in 5 games in the first round, and lost a closely-contested series in Game 7 to the Phoenix Suns. Still, history was made. It was their first playoff appearance in 13 years.
That historic Clippers squad was led by none other than Maggette and Mobley, who both departed LA in 2008. Now here we are in 2017, a few months away from seeing the duo step foot on the court together again.
